Latte (CH Marrick's Szizlin Copper Creek JH) is our third Vizsla and the product of one of our own breedings.  She is from Baci's second litter out of Tosci.  Latte was just a little bit lighter in color than all the other puppies in the litter, just like coffee with a little bit more cream.  We decided to call her Cafe Latte, which quickly became just plain Latte.  She has followed in her mother and father's footsteps and excels in both the show ring and the field.  Her name is an homage to two women who have been the most influential, helpful, and generous people we have met in the Vizsla world.  Szizlin is the name of Carol Phelps' kennel and Copper Creek is the name of Patsy Dahlinghaus' kennel.  Marricks Vizslas would not exist today were it not for these two wonderful individuals. Carol is the breeder of our Baci and a constant source of knowledge and information.  It was Carol who convinced me to enter Baci in her first dog show, and she has been guiding and helping us non-stop since then.  She helped deliver Baci's first litter, which was sired by her wonderful dog Pfalcon.  She has been in Vizslas for over 25 years and is more giving to the breed than anyone I have met.  Patsy is Tosci's breeder and was handling Baci when she finished her championship.  Patsy is an island of tranquility in a sea of chaos in the Vizsla world.  She keeps us all on an even keel when things are about to unravel at the seams.  She is an exceptional breeder, owner, and handler.  She is always available to help anyone at any time.  It was Patsy who convinced me to finish Baci's show championship and who kept me calm through the delivery of Baci's second litter, via telephone from Boston.  When things get rough and emotions run high, it's Patsy who helps put things in perspective and snap us back to reality. Latte's First Show
	This is Latte's first dog show ever.  She won her puppy class over a very impressive entry.  She was so well behaved and she performed like a champion.  Then she sat down with me to watch her father Tosci in the ring, and promptly fell asleep in my arms.  That's how it is with a puppy at a dog show.

(Above) A picture of Latte in Goshen, CT, at 13 months old.  Latte was Winner's Bitch and Best of Opposite Sex over specials on Friday to earn her first points towards her championship.  This was the same show and place that her mother Baci earned her first points (and first major) by accomplishing the same thing (Best of Opposite Sex over specials) 3 years ago.  (Below)  Latte's First Major was a 3 point win in Fitchburg, MA.  She earned it by again going Best of Opposite Sex over Specials for the win.

New Champion

On birds at 6 months old
	This was Latte's first experience with birds.  She had some good finds, a couple of nice, solid points, and even honored her friends Magnum and Blaze (in the picture on the right).
