New Champion
We have a new champion. Latte earns the final 3 points towards her show championship, winning out of the Bred by Exhibitor Class and going Best of Opposite Sex all 3 days, at the Greater Lowell KC and Merrimack KC shows in Fitchburg, MA, this weekend. She is now officially Ch. Marrick's Szizlin Copper Creek JH.

Congratulations Latte! Big win (a 3 point major) at the Holyoke Kennel Club show in West Springfield out of the Bred by Exhibitor Class. Latte showed very well and beat a talented field of competitors to earn her second major. Both her mother (Baci) and father (Tosci) finished their show championships at this cluster of shows. Way to go Latte!

October 4, 2009
Congratulations to Latte on earning her Junior Hunter title. She is now officially Marrick's Szizlin Copper Creek JH. Thanks to Judge Andrew Campbell for awarding her the fourth leg and making it a great experience in the field with Latte.

September 20, 2009
Latte earns 2 more points towards her championship by going Winners Bitch and Best of Opposite Sex over specials at the Northwestern Connecticut Dog Club show in Goshen this weekend. Latte continues a winning tradition in Goshen, where either Latte or her mother Baci have won this show all 4 years we have entered. Thanks to Richard Bennington for handling Latte today.

Huge congratulations to Baci. After being out of the show ring for almost 3 years, Baci won the Veteran's Class at the Westchester Kennel Club's Vizsla Specialty Show. Baci then moved on to the Best of Breed ring, where she captured First Award of Merit. What an accomplishment!

What a nice weekend we had in Fitchburg, as  Latte earns 4 more points towards her championship.  On Friday, Latte was Winner's Bitch & Best of Opposite Sex over Specials  to earn a 3 point major at the Framingham District Kennel Club Show in Fitchburg, MA.  Latte's mother Baci earned her first major the same way.  On Saturday, Latte followed up with a repeat performance going Winners Bitch and Best of Opposite Sex for another 1 point.  Congratulations to Latte for following in her mother's footsteps and a job well done.

October 18, 2008
Latte goes Reserve Winner's Bitch (runner up) yet again at another major. This time she was bridesmaid to her cousin Ptorrie at the Albany Kennel Club show at the Big E in West Springfield, MA. Latte's brother Rex, also showed well today, and finished second in his class to the eventual winner's dog. Congratulations to the Baci Babies, Latte & Rex on a fine day in the show ring.

October 4-5, 2008
Latte is half way to her Junior Hunting title. She passed 2 legs this weekend at the CVVC hunting tests at Flaherty Field Trial area. Not quite the hunter her mother is yet, but a great start. Way to go, Latte!

Sept. 19-21, 2008
Latte earned her first championship points by going Winner's Bitch at the Newtown Kennel Club show on Friday in Goshen, CT. A single point show became a two point win when Latte went Best of Opposite Sex over specials. Saturday, she was Reserve Winner's Bitch, and on Sunday, she was Winners Bitch and Best of Winners. Three strong showings in one weekend. Congratulations Latte!

August 24, 2008
Latte gets another Reserve Winners Bitch. This time to a 3 point major at the Great Barrington Kennel Club show in Springfield. This was a big show with some very lovely Vizslas in it. We are very proud of Latte and her performance.

July 2, 2008
Latte gets Reserve Winner's Bitch after winning the "Bred by Exhibitor" Class at the Naugatuck Valley Kennel Club Show. No points, but a fine showing in her first ever "Bred By" class.

June 7, 2008
Latte and her brother Rex helped their father Tosci win the stud dog entry at the CVVC specialty show this weekend. Congratulations to Tosci, Rex, and Latte for a fine showing.

May 25, 2008
After a very long high school baseball season, we are finally able to get Latte back into the show ring. We had some fun this Memorial Day weekend at the Kennelworth KC match in Guilford. Latte won her puppy sweeps (and paid for her entries) and then won her class in the regular match show. She had a very strong showing in the breed ring, but lost out to another Vizsla (due to handler error! Sorry Latte). We look forward to the CVVC Specialty show in Greenwich.

February 16, 2008

In only her second week of showing, Latte earns Reserve Winner's Bitch at a 4 point major. After winning the blue ribbon out of the 6-9 month puppy class in the First Governor's Foot Guard show, Latte was runner up today in Hartford, CT.  No points, but quite an honor.  Congratulations Latte!

February 8, 2008
Latte (Marrick's Szizlin Copper Creek) made her debut into the dog show world this weekend at the Connecticut Valley Vizsla Club Specialty in Secaucus, NJ. She finished second in the puppy sweepstakes (23 entries) and then came out and won her puppy class in the regular show. Latte was in a very large 6-9 month puppy class and came away with a blue ribbon and ceramic plate from CVVC for her efforts. She has all the heart and desire of Baci and all the good looks of Tosci, so we hope she continues to excel in the ring. Congratulations Latte.

Out of the whelping box and into the field; less than a week after her puppies go home, Baci took a third place at the Connecticut Valley Vizsla Club's Hunting Dog Stakes, at East Windsor's Flaherty Field Trial Area.  Baci has not seen a bird in over 6 months, she is still not in the best of shape after the latest litter, and it was an incredibly hot day, but she went out hunted like a champion.  She found birds, was steady on point, and retrieved to hand.  On the way back, in the truck, she sat next to me and just licked my face all the way home.  I think it was her way of saying, "Thanks for getting me away from those crazy puppies and letting me do what I love best".

She always gives us 100% whether it's in the show ring, in the field, or at home on the couch.  We are so proud of our Baci.

October 1, 2007
All of the puppies from the Baci-Tosci litter have gone to their new homes.  Our sincere thanks go to our new owners for giving these special little Vizslas a forever home:  Brett & Steph Mortimer (Kirby fka Torrone), Mike & Claudina Stevenson (Rex fka Straciatelli), Nancy & Shannon & Ryan Appelquist (Bizou fka Fragola), Rich Frautten & Adrienne DelColle (Khumbu fka Tartufo), Jamie & Alexandra Crowley (Hadley fka Ananas), Butch & Carol Newman (Mya fka Passione), and (for the second time) Chuck, Leslie, Evan, & Tori  Grande (Elli fka Gelsomina & Roxy fka Fendi).  Latte fka Limoncella will stay with us in our home and Nocello will be with us always in our hearts.  Thanks again to all of these wonderful people, for loving forever what we have loved so dearly the last 9 weeks.

Cheers to Champion Szizlin Marrick's Baci JH for her work in the show ring this weekend.  On Friday, she won her class and finished Reserve Winner's Bitch (runner-up) to a 3 point major.  On Saturday, she won her class again and was Winner's Bitch and Best of Winners for her second 3 point major.  On Sunday, she won the Connecticut Valley Vizsla Club supported entry and was Winner's Bitch and Best of Winner's again, this time for a 4 point major  and her Show Championship!  Our deepest appreciation to Patsy Dahlinghaus for handling her to her Major wins on Saturday and Sunday, and to Dennis Witzske for her Reserve on Friday.

Pictured above are the Open Bitch Class Ribbon and trophy(R), the Winner's Bitch Trophy and Rosette(L), and the Best of Winner's Trophy and Rosette(middle) from Baci's win on Sunday from the Connecticut Valley Vizsla Club supported entry at the Springfield Kennel Club Show.

Congratulations to Baci.  This weekend she became a Junior Hunter.  At Nod Brook in Simsbury, CT, she passed the final two legs of her Junior Hunter title with scores both days of eights and nines out of ten.  Many thanks to all who helped Baci in the field, especially Mr. A. Tomei, who spent many hours with me in his backyard working on her pointing and retrieving.  Thanks, Mr. "T" for  your time, effort, knowledge, and patience!

Baci earned 2 legs of her Junior Hunting Title this weekend at the CT Valley Vizsla Club Hunting Tests. Judges were impressed enough with her abilities to give her scores of eights and nines (out of ten). We're so proud that Baci has done so well in the bird field, complementing her success in the show ring. Go to our Photo Album page to see pictures of Baci in the field.

It's been almost 8 months since Baci has been in a Dog Show Ring.  Well, she's back!

On Saturday, Baci earned Reserve Winner's Bitch (1st runner-up, if you're a Miss America fan) and on Sunday, she was Winner's Bitch (Miss America) for a one point win.

This weekend was Baci's first venture back into the showring since her litter went home 3 weeks ago. She's gotten her figure back quicker than we thought she would.  Even though both Saturday and Sunday's shows were small, Baci came through with flying colors.

All of the puppies have gone to their new homes and are doing very well. They are fast becoming loving members of their new families. Along with a new family comes a new name. Fendi is now "Roxy", Chanel is now "Lucy", Versace is now "Morgan", Dolce/Gabana is now "Gretel", and Calvin is now "Otis".

August 13th, 2006
Puppies are going outside daily and enjoying themselves very much. They are almost 6 weeks old and will be going home to their new families in 3 weeks. Pictures can be found on the "Puppies" page.

July 24th, 2006
Puppies are doing well and growing fast. They have been moved from their whelping box to the kitchen of our house. They have begun to walk around (and fall quite a bit like all toddlers do) and are exploring their new environment. Teeth are coming in this week which means that Baci should begin weaning them shortly. Go to the "Puppies" page to see more photos of the litter.

July 5th, 2006
Baci went into labor at 5 PM and as of 10pm there are 5 girls and one boy. The girls are: Fendi, Prada, Versace, Chanel, and Dolce-Gabana. The boy is named Calvin.
